Installation of Toolbelt on VDI - license not recognized for users

What is the process for setting up a license to be available for users of a VDI environment. The primary user which did the install shows a valid license - -other users do not.

Do we need to have the license key owner 'invite' people thru a redgate site or change how we installed the product?

    Hi @carpentercraig

    Thanks for your post.

It depends on whether or not the environment is persistent or non-persistent. The current licensing model we have works well with persistent but not so well with non persistent.

If you are running non-persistent then you should send a ticket in to our support team via your Redgate portal letting us know how often the environment will reset so that we can add the relevant number of activations to your serial key to keep you guys going.

    I hope this helps.

Sorry -- not particularly clear as to your meaning of persistent or not. The VDI is a VMWare pool that is available for the developers -- the image remains constant except during monthly patching cycles and software updates.

    Hi @carpentercraig

    Thanks for your reply.

This sounds like it needs a support ticket since you will have to disclose your serial key and products. Can you send one through and the team will come up with the best solution to this for you?

    Kind regards

    Richard.
