12.1.4.x very slow comparisons

Hello,
Since moving to the 12.x series, I've noticed a very large slow-down in comparing databases which have previously taken only 30 seconds or so.
In the 12.x series, the progress bars for both databases finish, but the results don't appear on the screen for sometimes up to 3 or 4 minutes.
Again - something which didn't happen in previous releases.
If there's any way I can help diagnose or provide examples, please let me know.
