SQL Compare Unable to connect to the Redgate Client Service

Installed SQL Compare 12.0 with the intention of trying it out. But I get an "Unable to connect to the Redgate Client Service" message on every launch. Checked the services list and found Red Gate Client Service is running happily as LocalSystem. The service is set to automatically start. I have checked by restarting the service but no joy so far. Can someone please help me out?

I'm sorry you've run into this problem using SQL Compare. I wonder if you could raise an issue with support@red-gate.com about this issue; it sounds like SQL Compare is failing to license itself correctly,
