DLM Dashboard and Different Versions of SQL Server

We have come across a situation where we have two databases that as far as SQL Compare is concerned are identical (Nothing Excluded when comparing)
Db2 was created as a backup and restore of Db1
A change was pushed through but as far as DLM Dashboard is concerned they are not the same schema.
Db1 is on SQL Server 2008 R2 whilst Db2 is on SQL Server 2012
Could this be the reason why the schemas are not deemed identical?
