Average timing number not making sense

Using Performance Profiler 9.1 and looking a line level timing, I am noticing that the average time for a line to execute is listed as shorter than the sum of all the child calls that line makes. This doesn't make sense. The time for a line to execute has to be at least the sum of all child calls, no?

Anyone have any idea why the profiler does this? Seems to make the timing numbers useless.

p.s. (I would have included a screen shot, but this form doesn't see to support that... hint.)

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for your post! I believe we have a support ticket open for you on this. When you have a chance, can you kindly attach some of your screenshots to a ticket update so that we can get a better idea of the unexpected results you're seeing?

Thank you! (and thanks for your suggestion on attach image files to a forum update--I'll pass this onto the forum moderators :] )
