Greetings!
I'm trying to schedule backups for a local database
Thing is, the "jobs" flap shows the warning "Your SQL Server Agent does not appear to be running. Start SQL Server Agent"
After clicking on it, it says the agent failed to start and gives te following detail: "startservice() returned error 5 'access is denied.'"
Any ideas?

Thank you for your forum post.

Can you open the services.mmc, locate the SQL Backup Agent service. Check the properties of the service log-on account. Is this correct account name and password? Does the account supplied have log-on has a service rights?

    Many Thanks
