Object reference error

When exiting SQL Data Compare, I got the following message: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Do you want to correct the value?" After clicking no during several sessions, I finally clicked Yes, and the results were disasterous. All my table selections, filters, mappings, etc. dissappeared, which means I've got to re-enter everything from scratch. What causes this error? Clearly I'd like to avoid this in the future.

    Hello,

    We're looking into possible causes for this at this time. As far as I can tell, the program should only be taking one action when it is closed, and that is to delete any temporary files that had been allocated by the program. I do not see anything that would affect a comparison project. I'm still looking, though...

    Hello,

    Have you got a mandatory or roaming profile? Maybe something is happening to your projects as a result of logging in and out?
