Odd error in Event Viewer

Hi

We using Backup v4.0.0.113. It works fine, but am getting an odd error in the applcation log:

18210 :
BackupVirtualDeviceSet::Initialize: Open failure on backup device 'SQLBACKUP_661AF6EB-FEF7-47D1-89A5-DFEA741EE145'. Operating system error 0x80070002(error not found).

Can this be resovled?

    Do you get this error everytime? Are you using SQL Server 2000 with at least Service Pack 3 applied? Thanks.

    Yeah - SQL 2000 with sp3a. And yes, every time it runs a full backup (every 4 hours).

    Are you saying the the backup succeeded (backup file was created and all), but you get this error in the SQL Server log?

    Do you get the same error if you run the backup using the same script, via Query Analyzer or Management Studio?

    Could you pls check the SQL Backup log files if any warnings were recorded, for the corresponding backups that generated the errors in the SQL Server log? The log files are usually found in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Red Gate\SQL Backup\Log\<instance name>. Thanks.
