How do I remove SQL Prompt from the VS 2008 or SQL Mngt Console menu?

The products are uninstalled and both do not appear in the Add-In manager. But the Menu still displays both items.

This is on Vista.

Thanks.

    Thanks for the post.

After SQL Prompt have been uninstalled, their menu items may still be left in SQL Server Management Studio and/or Visual Studio. When this happens, it will be necessary to remove these manually.

From the Visual Studio main window, click on tools, customize. Leaving this window open, click and drag sql prompt down the page onto an empty space in the left window. This should remove it from the menu bar.

The procedure for removing the menu items from Management Studio is identical to the above.

Kindly let us know if you have any issues folllowing the steps.

  • after upgrading I, again, noticed the SQL Prompt 4 in my visual stuido menu bar. How do I uninstall SQL Prompt 4 only from my visual studio?

Why do you automatically install Prompt in visual studio. I'd much prefer it an option (de-selected by default)?
