Hey @Keith_DBA - someone from RG might be able to correct me, but I don't believe SSAS is supported in SQL Monitor - although there is a couple of UserVoice requests for this
@TheMaskedData is right regarding SSAS, we don't monitor SSAS itself, but you would be able to add the machine it is on.
The one caveat is that unless there is a SQL instance on the machine also, there would not be a card on the global dashboard, so while there would be machine metrics collected, they would only be visible on the Analysis page.

happen to have a link on how to do this?
All i can find in the monitor is how to add SQL servers and Azure SQL servers / Managed Instances .
Should managed instances be used?
