Redgate Source Control and Bitbucket Does It Retain SQL Server Deleted Objects?

Are objects that are deleted from SQL deleted from the remote repository in bitbucket and not in our distributed model local repository?  We recently deleted a view by accident which we could not find in bitbucket but was found in our analyst's local repository.

Ideally deleted objects would be backed up in bitbucket so not sure if missed using a setting available.

Thank you!

Thanks for your query about SQL Source Control. When you delete an object on the database, you would then need to commit it to the local repo, then you would need to push the change from the local repo to the remote in order it to be removed from your Bitbucket repo.

You may be able to recover the object using the SQL Source Control revision history by right clicking on the database in Object Explorer and select View history.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards,
