in SQL Prompt
Hi all!
I've been trying to install an older version of prompt (7.5), during the installation process it seems like my SSMS is not recognized. I get a window with grey inactive checkmarks, the "next" button is inactive as well, and written "microsoft visual studio or SQL server management studio is required".
Funny thing is when i accidently installed latest version (10.6) there wasn't any problem.

Thank you for your post.
It may be due to a compatibility issue between the version of SQL Prompt you are using and the version of SSMS you have installed. Which version of SSMS do you have?
Here is a link to the requirements for SQL Prompt 7.5:

Yeah, we figures as much, using SSMS 18.8.
I wonder whether there's a way to upgrade an existing license to a newer version, will try to look it up.
You can download the different version from the customer portal. If you go the the manage license area to can get the latest versions of the tools there, as well as any of the older versions.
