Still getting emails after uninstall...

Sadly I had to uninstall the 14-day trial of this product due to no funds in the budget for the software (at this time). I had set up a number of emails notifications. I uninstalled & even went as far as rebooting my computer but I'm still getting emails from SQL Response. How do I get this to stop altogether? I would have hoped this issue would be rectified in the software initially.

Thanks.

    Hi Cowski,

SQL Response has two main component .. client (UI) and Alert Repository (main engine which collects the data from SQL Server and sends email etc). It looks like you have only uninstalled SQL Response client.

Please also uninstall 'SQL Response Alert Repository 1'. Once you have uninstalled 'SQL Response Alert Repository 1' then no email will be sent.

Also, SQL Response Client and SQL Response Alert Repository uninstall does not require you to reboot the machine.

Please do let us know if you still keep getting emails after uninstalling SQL Response Alert Repository.

    Thanks,

In checking my Add/Remove programs I did not find a "SQL Response Alert Repository 1" on my list.
Here is a screenshot of the alphabetical listing of my Add/Remove programs & what is left:

Is there a "backdoor" to uninstall this? I would really like to keep using the software but it's just not in the company' budget at this time. Hopefully soon. :?

Sidenote...SQL Prompt 4 is the expired demo. Waiting on the $$$ to pay for that.

    Hi Cowski,

'SQL Response Alert Repository 1' should be listed in the Add/ Remove Program. But since you are not seeing it in this list .. I would assume that you have installed the Alert Repository on a different machines (and client was on this machine for which you have posted the screen shot).

Do you remember that which machine you installed Alert Repository on? Please log to that machine and then uninstall 'SQL Response Alert Repository'.

But if you do not remember then .. if you have emails coming then look at this part of the email:

    More details for Server: Server1/SQL2005 - sqlresponse://machinename.red-gate.com: ... a56acf4b78

This should be the machine machinename.red-gate.com on which you have installed your Alert Repository.

    Hope this helps.

I think that did it, Priyasinha. Thank you for taking the time to go into detail about this. :D
